ROME
The "Eternal city", Rome is not only represented by its masterpieces of art, and breathtaking architecture, monuments and museums but by its typical streets and alleyways where one can discover traits of Italian lifestyle, tradition and culture.
A visit to Rome will allow you to discover the many different historical layers which have built this beautiful city through the centuries, from the remains of the Roman empire, through the Medieval, Renaissance periods up to the modern day architecture that dots the city throughout.
Rome is more than a fascinating European capital city; it is a spectacular encyclopedia of living history. It has been said that all roads lead to Rome, and in Rome, every road leads to eternity. The city is vast, although the historic center is quite small. The whole experience of Rome is so powerful as to be almost overwhelming at times.
ROME CITY TOUR
From the Trevi fountain to the Colosseum, Rome’s abundant sights rival those of any other city on the planet, in terms of their beauty, historical importance and ability to simply take your breath away. Whether your interests lie in antiquity, architecture, cuisine, culture, religion, shopping or sport, Rome has something to suit all tastes.
Stroll through the Pantheon, marvel at Michelangelo’s Piazza del Campidoglio and admire the Swiss Guardsmen of Vatican City. Try a ‘proper’ spaghetti alla Carbonara near the Spanish Steps or sit back with a coffee and people-watch in Piazza Navona. Alternatively, if you fancy a break from Rome sightseeing, act like a local and take in a Lazio or Roma match at the Olympic Stadium.

TOUR IN VATICAN MUSEUMS ROME
Vatican City i/ˈvætɨkən ˈsɪti/, officially Vatican City State (Italian: Stato della Città del Vaticano;]), is a landlocked sovereign city-state whose territory consists of a walled enclave within the city of Rome. It has an area of approximately 44 hectares (110 acres), and a population of around 840.
This makes Vatican City the smallest internationally recognized independent state in the world by both area and population. The Vatican Historical Museum, located in the Lateran Apostolic Palace, will shortly be the focus of an important new project involving the transfer and new layout of its entire artistic collection, enabling it to be displayed as part of the itinerary through the Vatican Museums. During this planning phase it will however be possible, by advance booking, to attend guided tours of the historical collection in its original location.
WALKING ROME CITY TOUR
Start: Isola Tiberina
Finish: Palazzo Corsini
Time: 3 hours, not counting museum visits
Not until the advent of the Fellini films did Trastevere make a name for itself. Set on the western bank of the Tiber, away from the main tourist path, Trastevere (whose name translates as "across the Tiber") seems a world apart from the rest of Rome. Its residents have traditionally been considered more insular than the Romans across the river.
Tour begins on the tiny but historic:
1. Tiber Island (Isola Tiburtina) 2. Piazza Piscinula 3. Piazza Sidney Sonnino 4. Chiesa di San Giovanni dei Genovesi 5. Santa Cecilia in Trastevere 6. Take A Break 7. San Michele a Ripa Grande 8. Santa Maria dell'Orto 9. Chiesa di San Francesco a Ripa 10. Piazza di San Cosimato 11. Piazza di San Callisto 12. Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere 13. Take A Break 14. Santa Maria della Scala 15. Porta Settimiana 16. Via Santa Dorotea 17. Palazzo Corsini 18. Villa Farnesina

MONTEPULCIANO
Montepulciano is a medieval and Renaissance hill town and comune in the Italian province of Siena in southern Tuscany. It sits high on a (605 metres (1,985 feet)) limestone ridge, 13 kilometres (8 miles) E of Pienza, 70 km (43 miles) SE of Siena, 124 km (77 miles) SE of Florence, and 186 km (116 miles) north of Rome by car.
Montepulciano is a major producer of food and drink. Renowned for its pork, cheese, "pici" pasta, lentils, and honey, it is known world-wide for its wine. Connoisseurs consider its Vino Nobile, which should not be confused with varietal wine merely made from the Montepulciano grape, among Italy's best.
After the unification of Italy and the drying of the Val di Chiana, the town remained the most important agricultural centre in the area, while the industrial activities moved mostly next to Chiusi, which was nearer to the railroad being built in that period.
TUSCAN CUISINE COURSES
If you are interested in wine and tasty Tuscan cuisine why not join us and take part in our daily / weekly cooking classes or wine tasting classes? The recipes used in our cooking course are based on two elements: the Tuscan cooking tradition, which goes all the way back to the Etruscans who lived here 2000 years ago, and the simple purity of our ingredients.
